#ChooseChicago2017

Chicago, IL

2017 was certainly an adventure for me.
I graduated college, traveled to new places, got my first "big girl" job,
moved into my own home, and so much more.
In August I traveled to Chicago Illinois for the very first time.
I was a very small fish in a huge sea, to say the least.
Wow! What a city!
Even though it was a bit overwhelming and we got lost MULTIPLE times we still had a blast.
There are so many things to explore in Chicago, from the pizza to the bean to the busy streets and so many different people it was absolutely an experience I will never forget.
If you plan to visit Chicago, I have a few recommendations for you.

First up, stop in at Giordanos for a slice of authentic Chicago deep dish pizza.
If you LOVE cheesy pizza like I do, this is definitely a place you will want to visit.
As you can see I had to get mine with pineapples, the best pizza topping there is of course.

Sightseeing is a must.
This is absolutely one of the most beautiful cities, architecturally, that I have visited.
With that being said, you cannot see much other than buildings when you look at the sky.
Chicagoans are definitely missing the beautiful mountain views we have back here in
Southwest Virginia.

Navy Pier
Unfortunately, the afternoon I visited Navy Pier it was rainy and gloomy and I did not get to spend much time there.
However, everyone says this is their favorite part of Chicago.

Rosemont, IL

While in Chicago I actually stayed in Rosemont, near O'hare Airport.
Pictured above; I stayed at Hyatt Regency O'hare.
Within walking distance of the hotel there was a cool little community
(now) called Parkway Bank Park.

Some of the places I got to enjoy here were :
     -Park Tavern ( Pictured Above)
-Adobe Gila's
-Sugar Factory

Baseball!
If there is baseball, you will find me there.
Although due to a tight schedule I did not get the opportunity to catch a game, it was awesome to visit the city that houses the 2016 World Series Champions.
#GoCubs!

Overall, Chicago was a great experience and I would recommend you check it out
at least once in your life.

Hope this post helps you in your future travel adventures.

Comment below and let me know what you enjoyed in Chicago
or what you would like to check out in the future.

xoxo, Kenna
